Renaissance Recreation is a LLC registered in the state of Colorado. Its Founder, Michael
Murphy, created Renaissance Recreation to bring a renaissance to the outdoor recreation
industry. By challenging the status quo and leading from the front, Renaissance Recreation
hopes to pioneer and nurture advancements in practices and technology that will address
the numerous problems, both human and environmental, which are encountered in the
outdoor world. With the explosive growth of backcountry skiing and winter recreation as a
whole, Renaissance Recreation started leading the way, by partnering with Back Country Access (BCA) on the creation of the “BCA Assessor” iPhone app. Renaissance Recreation hopes to continue its mission to equip the backcountry revolution by helping to facilitate a user friendly environment that promote the culture, education, and idea of safe backcountry recreation. By equipping the user with tools, resources, and knowledge, we can reinforce good decision-making and improve user outcomes.
